Amanda Massa, LCSW
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
Amanda Massa, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in New York and Connecticut. She works with adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, excessive worry, low self-esteem, OCD, and the uncertainty that can come with early adulthood. She has a particular interest in working with young adults and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Therapy with Amanda is collaborative, goal-oriented, and grounded in creating an emotionally safe space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. She understands how easy it can be to get caught up in expectations about where you “should” be in life, compare yourself to others, or feel pressure to have everything figured out. Together, you’ll explore these patterns, build a deeper understanding of yourself, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with greater confidence.

Feeling safe, understood, and accepted is an important part of meaningful therapy. Amanda prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, warmth, and genuine collaboration, creating a space where you can openly explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck.
Her approach is inclusive, affirming, and informed by an anti-oppressive framework. She integrates evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), TEAM-CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Treatment is tailored to your individual needs and goals, with an emphasis on both understanding yourself more deeply and developing practical strategies you can use outside of the therapy room.
