Dr. Kerrilyn Finn

Dr. Kerrilyn Finn, is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York. She works with adults navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and the general overwhelm that can come with everyday life. Therapy with Dr. Finn is meant to feel real, collaborative, and genuinely supportive. It’s a space where you can show up as your authentic self, without pressure to have everything figured out.

Dr. Finn’s approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to create an individualized approach that feels supportive, collaborative, and tailored to you.

Dr. Kerrilyn Finn earned her master’s degree in School Psychology from Adelphi University before completing her doctoral degree in School-Community Psychology at Hofstra University. She completed both her doctoral internship and postdoctoral training in private practice settings, where she specialized in working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and emotional challenges.
In addition to individual therapy work, Dr. Finn has experience leading Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups in private practice, helping clients build skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. She has also worked within school settings, which allows her to incorporate an understanding of the connection between education, learning, and mental health into her clinical work.

During her doctoral training, Dr. Finn participated in research and academic work focused on evidence-based mental health care and school-based intervention. Her work reflects an ongoing commitment to integrating research-informed approaches into clinical practice.
